This weekend I'm embarking on a charity climb, the three peaks challenge is to climb the three tallest peaks in the UK in under 24 hours. Preparation my end has been spent securing charity funding but I still need to boost my fitness and buy some equipment before Friday!

As you can imagine the run up to any BTCC event is hectic for the drivers, (unless I do more than the rest) but heading for your home race is a real extra demand on your resources. Don't get me wrong it's fantastic to be racing at my home venue (and place of work) but there's definitely more involved than turning up to any other round.

I've always had an unhealthy obsession for taking on ridiculous projects, however last night over a few beverages a friend and I managed to talk ourselves into creating a wooden Reeva style boat powered by a jet ski engine and impella system! We have the plans and the jet ski but no where to build it and no wood as yet!

I'm really looking forward to Oulton, it's a fantastic circuit that's draped around a picturesque but undulating forest, the place oozes history and has a feeling of a bygone era in motor-sport, some may say from the days when men were men!

Perhaps I tempted fate by suggesting a role on my racing mower was inevitable, whatever the reason, it happened. Fortunately there were no major effects except i burned my hand on the exhaust when putting it back on its wheels.

After being invited to race in a 6 hour mower racing event last year I have been building my own racing mower, sounds silly and I guess it is a bit silly but it's mega fun! basically a high performance go kart built around a lawnmower chassis speeds of 50mph are common place and on a bumpy field with no suspension this makes for great fun!

I've just about finished everything for university, and coincidentally theres a nice wave at Tynemouth at 6:30. The ideal way to blow off a bit of steam before handing everything in tomorrow

As I have mentioned previously I'm in my final year of study at Northumbria Uni, I'm also now in the final week before my exam hand in. Needless to say theres plenty to be done and not much time to do it. Especially with the run-up to Donnington coinciding with this week.

Everything is nearly in place for Thruxton this coming weekend, Thruxton is a track of many fond memories for me, after winning the British SEAT Cupra R championship there in 2007 on my 22nd birthday. I'm confident of some good results at the fastest circuit in the UK and one of the fastest tracks in Europe. I'd also like to welcome aboard Fox Racing Europe who have joined myself as a partner.

For those who don't already know, I'm currently studying a 4 year Hons degree in Transport design, I'm in my 4th year and have only 3 weeks remaining to complete my major project. Unfortunately I have about 5 weeks worth of work to do so things are very frantic at my end! Non the less I'm looking forward to Thruxton and working hard for it!

I'm off to do a spot of Downhill mountain biking this afternoon at a local forest which is set out with various downhill tracks and paths. Let's hope for no bone breakage's!

I'm about to set off for Brands, although I'm de-touring past Rockingham en-route to collect the motorhome from my Dad who is currently testing his Funcup car at the circuit! Brands should be a good weekend for us and we're pretty confident! Check the tempus site for live feed on Sat & Sunday for all behind the scenes action and reaction

After two successful days of dry running at Brands Hatch & Rockingham media day, we're confident we've made some giant strides with the set-up of the car. We feel there's still more to come this week, which should help us find that extra 1/10th of a second or two round Brands Hatch to secure a high top ten position in qualifying next weekend.

Yesterday I attended a test at Thruxton circuit. I have fond memories
of Thruxton circuit from my career with some of my best results coming
at the track and it was the track at which I won the SEAT cupra R title
in 2007 on my birthday. However the good memories became a distant
glimmer when after 6 laps I turned into Goodwood corner and hit some
