It's finally here. After waiting and focusing on it so hard for so long I'm leaving for Brazil on Friday. Unfortunately my Grandfather passed away last week and his funeral is on Thursday but I head straight from the funeral to Brazil. A sad ending but a happy new start I'm sure he'l be with me in Brazil!

Motorsport is very physicly demanding and in touring car racing, in 30 degree ambient heat you can expect upto 50-60 degrees inside the car couple this with all of your fire proofs, suit, helmet etc and all of the concentration and physical forces applied to your body it gets hard work.
It's with great pleasure that I can confirm an onslaught of the 2010 WTCC series with bamboo engineering. Ever since starting racing in 2005 I have aspired to the WTCC, admittedly it's come a bit sooner than expected but I had a fantastic opportunity and have to grab it with both hands.

Amidst all the cold and darkness I'm currently clutching at bits of happiness as we get ever closer to christmas. I'm working full time on next season and also in the bamboo driving days shop. Things are progressing nicely but as always time is of the essence.

Well it's finally arrived, my first professional race trip to Europe begins tomorrow. We're heading for the Braga circuit to compete in the ETC Cup. The ETCC is a series open to 'non factory' teams and drivers in s2000 spec cars, so draws a lot of WTCC independents and local, national series drivers.

I'm glad to confirm that I will be competing in the European Touring Car Cup in two weeks time at Braga circuit in Portugal, I'l be driving the bamboo Lacetti that I have been racing in the second half of the season in BTCC. Having the opportunity to race in front of an international crowd is fantastic for all of my sponsors.

Last weekend at Rockingham we debuted the KYTE channel on the bamboo-engineering.com website, it was a fantastic success and all of the guys at Orange bus worked really hard behind the scenes to make it come off so thanx for that!

Rockingham is next on the list of venues, this weekend I'm really hoping for some good results to reward the team for all of the hard work they have been putting in! Also we will be broadcasting live on our KYTE channel all weekend so it would be a great weekend for the fans and sponsors to get some boosted exposure and access to true behind the scenes areas thanx to Orange bus.co.uk

As part of my ongoing endeavor to help charities, a friend and I have begun a charity canoe trip. While we havn't started paddling yet we have begun to make our own canoe, the trip will take place at the end of this year and we intend to navigate our home made canoe along the 98 mile stretch of canal from coast to coast through Scotland known as the Caledonian Canal.

Well it's finally come, time to head for 'The Hill'. Knockhill is a fantastic circuit draped onto the side of a typically picturesque Scottish hill side, it offers challenges like no other circuits and requires many of the usual racing techniques in 'the book' to be thrown out of the window, and you really just have to grab the car by the scruff of the neck and drive it!

Well the first Bamboo weekend has come and gone and although the team is all new my luck apparently hasn't changed. Non the less we scored points in 2 of the 3 races which isn't too bad considering we got fired off in two races. The car is repairable and will be ready for some action at Knockhill next weekend!

I'm about to set-off for the gym, then onwards to the Bamboo engineering HQ at Silverstone to help with final preparations in getting my car ready for the coming weekend at Snetterton. The shell only arrived back from paint on Friday night so as you can imagine there's alot of work to be done to get her ship shape for the weekend.

I'm really glad to make the move to Bamboo engineering, the team draws upon all of the best sides of 'Tempus Sports' personnel with an all new and much improved management structure that should help cement my future in motorsport.

This weekend I'm embarking on a charity climb, the three peaks challenge is to climb the three tallest peaks in the UK in under 24 hours. Preparation my end has been spent securing charity funding but I still need to boost my fitness and buy some equipment before Friday!

As you can imagine the run up to any BTCC event is hectic for the drivers, (unless I do more than the rest) but heading for your home race is a real extra demand on your resources. Don't get me wrong it's fantastic to be racing at my home venue (and place of work) but there's definitely more involved than turning up to any other round.
